10:00 am - 1:00 pm MARCIA PASQUA is an artist-printmaker, teacher, and expert pochoir practitioner. She is a long-time member of Honolulu Printmakers and a Volunteer.

Pochoir is a printmaking technique for creating art using stencils and brushes. This workshop will explore the basics of the art form including hand-cutting simple stencils and techniques for using brushes and printmaking inks in a spontaneous and free form manner. This workshop is a preview and warm up for our Jurorʻs workshop offered by Liz Ferrill which will also focus on the Pochoir technique practiced by both Hiroki Morinoue and Marcia Pasqua.

Participants should bring an X-ACTO knife and blades. All other supplies will be provided.

Class fee includes 6 hours of instruction and most of the supplies including paper, brushes, inks and stencil materials.
