Line Field : The prints are based on a drawing made in 2018 that used, multi-colored intersecting lines to create a color field. The relief print is made with a hand routed linoleum plate and inked with a blend of inks. The intersection of the colors interact and mix together optically. This multi-hued color field, ebbs and flows and is at the same time dizzying and jarring. Individual prints (35” x 24”) were mounted and joined together by Paul Mullowney at Mullowney Printing Co. in Portland, Oregon, using Japanese mounting techniques.
