Reflex: An automatic response to a stimulus. Color reacts and reacts when affected by light. By creating a three dimensional surface, the brightly painted colors reacts and mix with the adjoining surface. The color choices are deliberate and carefully planned, the resulting reective color blends together optically. The painting does not rely solely on reflected light, I have also painted in blended color that mimics the appearance of reflected color, visually tricking the mind and eye.
